Stage 2: BUILDING

Once the system’s design is completed, the manufacturing phase can start.

 

Prototypes of the vehicle’s powertrain are tested first and a mock-up of the vehicle is realised. Some latest modification will be allowed before manufacturing the two fleets of five vehicles. The homologation process identified during the design phase will be implemented to obtain the necessary permits for using the vehicle on public roads.

 

With regard to the infrastructure, the work on existing buildings has to be anticipated so that hydrogen production and storage equipment can be integrated on time to the sites. The photovoltaic generator installation is scheduled so that the connection to the grid and to the electrolyser can be done at the beginning of 2013. The facilities will be commissioned after certification by the relevant control organisations.
